Venice Pavilion at the 18th International Architecture Exhibition of the Venice Biennale
By
Our works for the Biennale Architettura 2023 The laboratory of Future also include the setting up of the Venice Pavilion in the Giardini della Biennale, curated by Collettivo Venezia and which includes the IUAV University of Venice, the Order of Architects, Planners, Landscapers and Conservators of Venice and the architect Alessandro Pedron.
The project, entitled VENETIE MML, the great view, the narrated work, shows how the city of Venice has changed, continues to change and will change in the near future, showcasing hundreds of public and private interventions launched from 2015 to the present day.
Through the presentation of the projects on both an urban and an architectural scale, the Pavilion presents them as an overall project, the result of a continuous work necessary to build the current and evolving image of Venice. The first room, created with the contribution of H-FARM, includes experiential and visual contents, designed by imagining a future in which technology is at the service of human beings. The heart of the exhibition is given by the large frieze arranged along the entire internal wall of the Venice Pavilion, a re-proposition of Jacopo De Barbari’s bird’s eye view of Venice “Venezia MD” of 1500, with the unprecedented addition of a part of the Metropolitan City via projection. The exhibition is closed by the works of the winners of the “Creators of Our Time” competition.
We are proud of the work carried out by our team, which included the set-up of the entire installation, with the supply and installation of various elements of the Pavilion, in collaboration with the City of Venice, the Teatro La Fenice and H-FARM.
