Venice Glass Week 2018: Tosetto for DUETTO by Pironi e Signoretto

Tosetto has fabricated the exhibition design for DUETTO a project by architect Claudio Pironi for Signoretto
a historical name of the Murano glassmaking tradition, in preview at The Venice Glass Week 2018. The artistic lamp, resulting from the rotation and duplication of a classic chandelier, reworks a millennial history through a contemporary language. Through the use of glass, metal and wood cladding, Duetto synthesizes the ancient history of Murano glass in an unexpected way. The result is a suspended work whose form has been generated precisely from the sound of the breath that produces it. Duetto is part of the project Glass-sound, a collaboration between the master glassmakers of the Murano furnaces and the students of the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice that aims to connect glass production and audiovisual techniques.
On display until October 20th at the Magazzino del Sale, Dorsoduro, Venice.
Tosetto has fabricated the set-up for Mondadori Electa, designed by the Architects Francesco Cellini and Maria Margarita Segarra Lagunes, for the newborn Museum of Colosseum in Rome.
The 75th Venice International Film Festival will open o public on August 29th, Tosetto takes care of the design of many areas, among others, of the external scenic design of the Palazzo del Cinema
