Opened in Venice on the 9th of May at the Ca’ Pesaro International Gallery of Modern Art, the exhibition “Arshile Gorky 1904-1948” traces the fundamental stages of the life and career of one of the most important painters of American art of the 20th century.
The exhibition, realized by Tosetto on behalf of Hauser & Wirth, is divided into 80 works from the most prestigious international collections, and also includes an interesting selection of drawings on paper made by the artist. The exhibition, curated by Gabriella Belli and Edith Devaney with the collaboration of The Arshile Gorky Foundation, highlights Gorky’s artistic development by showcasing the pictorial and creative energy of his graphic and pictorial language.
