Tosetto oversaw the preparation of the exhibition “Impressioni d’Oriente. Arte e collezionismo tra Europa e Giappone” open from October 1st 2019 to February 2nd 2020 at MUDEC in Milan. Curated by Flemming Friborg and Paola Zatti, the exhibition brings together more than 170 works including paintings, prints, furniture, sculptures and objects from various Italian and European museums and private collectors. Retracing the deep fascination of Japan on Western culture, the exhibition focuses on the major Italian and European artists who have undergone the enchantment of ‘Japanism‘: from the Italian painters Giuseppe De Nittis, Galileo Chini and Giovanni Segantini, to masters like Rodin, Van Gogh, Monet and Toulouse-Lautrec.
