Solutions for museums deposits

Tosetto has recently designed and built the new racks for the drawing depot of MAR-Art Museum in the City of Ravenna. Make use of space is a crucial issue to ensure the protection, conservation and enhancement of the works currently not exposed to the public. The sliding racks are therefore the ideal solution that allows to reduce to a minimum the handling operations and the relative risks, as well as to guarantee the availability of the paintings for any maintenance interventions. This also ensures the persistence of microclimatic parameters necessary for the conservation of the artwork. The same logic is applied to the air-conditioned interior storage located in Tosetto’s premises. This is where artwork of private collectors, museums or galleries are stored – for long or short periods – during any restoration operations; or simply due to lack of adequate areas for their storage.
