La Quadreria del Castello. Emilian painting from the Michelangelo Poletti Collection – Palazzo Fava

The exhibition La Quadreria del Castello. Emilian painting from the Michelangelo Poletti Collection was inaugurated today. Curated by Angelo Mazza, it is housed in the rooms frescoed by the Carracci in Palazzo Fava in Bologna and consists of works by only Emilian artists.
A selection with a unique identity, with works mostly never seen by the public: the exhibition displays seventy-four paintings and a sculpture from the rich collection of Michelangelo Poletti, realized between the end of the fifteenth and the beginning of the nineteenth century, organized through six sections that put them in relationship with the paintings and with the history of commissioning of the place that hosts them, also including examples of the female genius that has characterized the figurative history of Bologna.
We are proud of the work of our team, which creates a path in which artistic and philological value are mixed, deepening the evolution of the artistic tradition in the region.
