Interior Design Colors: the new 2018 Pantone Palettes
By
Among the 2018 trends in the Interior Design sector, we find the new colour palettes that will dictate the coolest combinations for the entire home decor sector.
The Pantone Color Institute has just released the eight distinctively designed palettes, “Pantone View Home + Interiors 2018”, that include the trendy colours for the interior design sector, while last month it had already announced the Pantone Color 2018: Ultra Violet (PANTONE 18-3838).
The hues for 2018 are proposed in cool combinations such as, for example, the “Resourceful” palette, that plays on the contrast of complementary colours such as blue and orange in different shades ranging from warmer to brighter ones, or “Discretion” that included romantic and delicate tones such as Elderberry, Burnished Lilac and Hawthorne Rose.
Nature-lovers can refer to the “Verdure” palette which features greeny colours like Celery and Foliage combined with berry-infused purples and eggshell blue. For the high-tech lovers there is the “TECH-Nique” palette that contains bright colors like vibrant blue, green, fuschia and purple, along with iridescent peacock tones in both turquoise and hot pink which are offset by Brilliant White and Frosted Almond, while for the fans of warm tones there is “Far- fetched” that brings together reds, yellows and other colors inspired by different, exotic cultures.
An eclectic mix of colors that evokes a sense of strength and refinement, “Intensity” featured deep colors such as violet, blue, gold and black, while metallic colors are collected into the “Intricacy” palette, a set of nuances inspired by the ”new neutrals” to be mixed with florid Holly Berry Red and yellow Sulfur. Last but not least, the most cheerful of all, the “Playful” palette which, dedicated to the Minions Cartoon, features bright colours like Minion Yellow, Lime Popsicle or Green Flash created to inspire joy and smiles.
But colours are not just for fun only: paying attention to different colour tones as well as planning their correct combinations has, in fact, a huge impact on the inner sense of comfort and well-being of the people who live the spaces, whether they are commercial ones, private residences or hotels.
Dealing with a renovation of spaces, whether commercial or private, it is essential to employ highly qualified professionals able to deal with design, functionality and social matters.
The Contract Sector in 2016 saw an increase in demand of quality projects not only in the hotel industry but also in the residential and commercial ones.
The hospitality contract sector, namely the supply of major projects for hotels, residential complexes, museums, cinemas and theaters, is a dynamic and booming sector, full of opportunities for the Made in Italy.
