From March 25 to September 25, the M9 – Museo del ‘900 in Mestre hosts the exhibition GUSTO!Italians at the table. 1970 – 2050, first of a trilogy of exhibitions dedicated to the greatest Italian passions, in a confrontation between past, present and future through scientific research, pop experience, play and critical investigation.
Curated by Massimo Montanari and Laura Lazzaroni, the exhibition deals with the evolution of the relationship between Italians and food in recent decades, addressing the paradigm shift between the traditional image of Italian national cuisine and the increasingly complex, segmented and contradictory evolution of a country that is transforming its consumption, its habits and its social composition.
The center of the exhibition is therefore the taste, considered as a representation of the relationship between the individual and the society, individual pleasure and collective sharing, nutritional mechanisms and cultural phenomena, capable of representing the variety and complexity of the themes related to food.
The set-up, created by our team, takes the visitor on a journey through eighty years of Italian food history, inviting to a journey between the deepening of tradition and the investigation of complexity.
Tosetto has fabricated the set-up of the awaited exhibition A Visual Protest. The Art of Banksy created by Madeinart and just inaugurated at MUDEC in Milan.
