Tosetto has built the digital Google space at Ca’ Giustinian, Venice, following the collaboration between the Biennale Arte 2015 and the Google Cultural Institute.
La Biennale di Venezia and the Google Cultural Institute made, in fact, a selection of artworks and pavilions from the Biennale Arte 2015, curated by Okwui Enwezor, that are available online until January 23rd 2016. The exhibits of 80 Countries in 70 National Pavilions will be accessible on g.co/biennalearte2015 as well as www.labiennale.org/en/art/online-2015exhibition/.
Viewers will be able to browse a collection of more than 4,000 artworks and photos in multiple digital exhibitions. Users will also be able to see 360 degree panoramic views of the internal and external exhibitions at Giardini and the Arsenale thanks to more than 80 sites photographed with Street View technology and presented for the first time in Italy on Liquid Galaxy, high resolution screens set up next to each other, able to offer a very engaging experience. The Google Cultural Institute, alongside La Biennale di Venezia, has also created an app for mobile devices which can be downloaded from the Google Play store which grants access to the digital exhibition and allows users to explore two virtual tours using Google Cardboard, a simple virtual reality viewer.
