Digital spaces that project exhibition stands into the future
By
The design of an exhibition stand today can use digital technologies and multimedia contents to actively involve the visitor in the narration of a brand, its products or services. The use of interactive audiovisual tools or virtual reality applications makes possible to build a spectacular and immersive environment, offering the public an exciting and memorable experience.
This is the case of the stand recently created by Tosetto for the “Regione Veneto“, on the occasion of BIT Milan 2020: a multimedia space with an area dedicated to an interactive game based on the 3D recognition of the visitor and its virtual projection on a ski slope of Cortina.
The digital settings for the exhibition stands use touch screens, multi-sensorial paths, interactive floors with 2D and 3D effects and augmented reality apps to modulate different “narrative itineraries” within the exhibition environment. Thanks to the chance of installing various multimedia devices, it is possible to differentiate the information according to the type of visitor, optimizing the available spaces and simplifying the most complex data by using videos and graphics. The use of videos, sound effects, graphics and images not only serves to inform, but also to excite and involve people through an interesting and pleasant form of corporate storytelling.
Thanks to the use of badges with RFID technology, it is also possible to involve the public in games or other initiatives, increasing the possibility of interacting with the company’s products or services and the interest in the brand in question. In particular, the “gamification” activities that exploit augmented reality offer an unusual and fun experience to potential customers, extending their stay within the exhibition area.
The stand of the future therefore appears to be a balanced mix of multifunctional spaces and digital technologies: in this perspective, the set-up has an essential role in choosing the furniture and technological devices best suited to expressing the concept formulated by the design studio. Each element of the stand must in fact enhance the multimedia contents and at the same time encourage the interaction of visitors with the company staff, increasing the chances of profitable contact.
Interior design means transforming spaces, whether they are a private home or a commercial space,
