The Contract Sector in 2016 saw an increase in demand of quality projects not only in the hotel industry but also in the residential and commercial ones. A trend already consolidated abroad, where the Contract Made in Italy is confirming its leadership in those specific sectors that require “non-standard” solutions characterised by a special attention to the design and details.
A market segment that will further growth in 2017 thanks to a wider range of design products specific for the contract sector to chose from and the ability of both architects and engineers to better satisfy the different needs of customization thanks to faster engineering processes.
Among the markets that represent the greatest potential for growth for the Made in Italy Contract Sector, there are China and the United States (with an 8.1% growth between January and August 2016). In fact, they are the only two “non-EU” states included in the upcoming roadshow to promote the next Salone del Mobile in Milan (from 4 to 9 April 2017) that are due in Shanghai and New York early this year.
The internationalization of the Italian style in the Contract Sector must be designed according to business politics based on the different local needs and cultures: the challenge of future will be, in fact, to redefine the strategies in order to enter the non domestic markets with different retail offers, production and supply chain assets, communication ideas, sales channels and price policies, whilst at the same time creating relationships with international interior designers that represent the key factor in furnishing a space with an influential style.
A challenge undertakes also by Tosetto that, with the recent birth of Tosetto US Corporation based in the United States, aims to bring also overseas the very best of the Made-in-Italy style and quality.
