The exhibition Chun Kwang Young: Times Reimagined has inaugurated at Palazzo Contarini Polignac, as a collateral event of the 59th Venice International Art Exhibition.
With 40 large reliefs in mulberry paper, sculptures and installations, flanked by the site-specific architectural structure Hanji House designed by the architect and urban planner Stefano Boeri and Studio Stefano Boeri Architetti and made of wood and textile membrane, Times Reimagines stands as a multidisciplinary laboratory of the Korean artist, who has been working for 30 years on the interconnection between living beings and the socio-ecological values of their relationships. Its reflections are also expressed through the use of Korean mulberry paper as a favorite media that exemplifies the reproduction and ecological circulation which, resisting time, redefines the notion of life cycle through its millennial duration and highlights the value of paper and the knowledge and memory carried in it.

Tosetto Allestimenti fabricated this exhibition, which was curated by Christopher Till and Jeremy Rose, and was held in the South Africa Pavilion, in the Sale d’Armi at the Arsenale in Venice.
