Cercando il cuore / Looking for the heart – Anatomical Theatre at Palazzo del Bo

On 30 September the exhibition Cercando il cuore (Looking for the heart) opened in Padua, set up in the Anatomical Kitchen of the Anatomical Theater of Palazzo del Bo with the aim to put science and art in dialogue to raise awareness on the delicate issue of heart disease and on the central role of science in the clinical research for the development of new hearts.
Accompanied by a convention on this subject, the exhibition offers the visitors the stories, reflections and dreams of a heart surgeon, a psychologist and their patients through some videos, combined with the works of various artists: Alberto Biasi, among the main exponents of programmed optical-kinetic art on display with the work Dinamica… Looking for the heart, Biancarosa Volpe with the installation KARSU and the visionary image of the master glassmaker Giancarlo Signoretto, THE GHOST HEART, created together with the master glassmaker Agnese Tegon and with the heart surgeon Gino Gerosa.
We are proud of the exhibition created, which offers an in-depth study capable of combining contemporary art and scientific rigor to bring the visitors closer to a delicate and increasingly central theme, through a new and unusual perspective.
